It has been a year since Wall Street Journal reporter,
Daniel Pearl, was brutally murdered for doing his job,
and for being an American and a Jew.
The motives for his execution somehow went silent amidst
the competing news coverage of the day, and yet his
death was tragically symbolic of the new realities of
the world in which we live.
Join us as Congregation B’nai Jeshurun hosts
and conducts a one-year anniversary Yahrzeit service
commemorating Daniel Pearl's murder in an interfaith
evening of memory, music and mourning.
The program will begin with an interfaith service lead
by Rabbis J. Rolando Matalon, Marcelo R. Bronstein and
Felicia L. Sol. Reverend K Karpen, Imam Talib 'Abdur-Rashid
and Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf
Among others joining us will be:
